K&L Gates Adds London Finance Partner
February 8, 2010
London— The London office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Stephen H. Moller as a partner in its finance practice. Moller joins K&L Gates from Simmons & Simmons, where he was a partner for the last 11 years.
Having qualified in England and Wales in 1992, Moller concentrates his practice on structured finance and banking matters, including restructurings, hedge fund-related and acquisition financings, securitizations, distressed debt trading, and OTC derivatives. He advises clients throughout Europe, including Germany, where he helped establish Simmons’ Frankfurt office in 2002 as the firm’s first resident partner.
Tony Griffiths, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ London office, commented: “Stephen’s addition not only marks our continued growth in structured finance, but his wealth of experience in advising hedge funds also helps to develop ever closer links between K&L Gates’ structured finance and investment management practices.”
“I am delighted to join K&L Gates – a dynamic and ambitious firm – and to be a part of its global finance practice,” said Moller. “The firm offers a high quality client base and a great deal of opportunity.”
Moller is the second new partner to join K&L Gates’ London office in 2010. In January, the firm welcomed antitrust and competition lawyer Scott S. Megregian to its London partnership from McDermott Will & Emery.
